For over 20 years, BENSELER has been rounding off its range of surface coatings and products with lubricant coatings.
Find out more about the characteristics and areas of application below.
Lubricant coatings are dry lubricant films that are applied wet and then dried. They are used for the defined adjustment of friction values on threaded parts, the reduction of insertion torques and the prevention of cold welding, galling, for example on stainless steel parts, but also the reduction of assembly noises. For example, a different friction can be achieved in the screw thread than that of the head support. The lubricant coating is usually applied to the entire component.
When it comes to preparing threaded parts - such as thread-forming or thread-grooving screws - for use, BENSELER offers special partial lubricant coatings. BENSELER can also offer partial lubricant coatings for internal threads.
The lubricant coatings produce dry and non-slip sliding films (some with UV indicator or coloring) and thus ensure a thread sliding coating with low coefficients of friction in a narrow scattering range.
Lubricants are suitable for all surfaces, materials and stainless steel screws for controlled screw assembly. Products from manufacturers such as microGLEIT, OKS, omniTECHNIK as well as products from other manufacturers Torque N' Tension (TNT) and Gleitmo are used. Depending on the application, they are offered as partial or complete coatings. The partial lubricant coatings achieve an extremely strong reduction in the insertion torque in some cases. Screw-in and assembly noises can also be effectively reduced.
Lubricant coatings are particularly economical and safe thanks to a mechanical series coating. There is no assembly risk due to the lack of thread coating. They are also characterized by consistent and reproducible, controlled assembly properties.
BENSELER can monitor the achievement of the specified characteristics on its own friction value test benches.
The liquid lubricant products are applied partially or completely, depending on customer specifications, to defined thread areas and then dried. If the thread is later screwed together, the lubricant achieves the required reduction in friction exactly where it is needed.
Lubricant coatings are used in almost all industries in fastening technology:
• Metric threaded screws and nuts
• Wood construction screws
• VA/stainless steel and aluminum screw connections
• for almost all screw connections in the automotive industry
• Drilling and thread-forming / thread-forming screws
In addition to lubricant coating, BENSELER offers you the following customer services:
• Corrosion protection coatings (zinc flake coating)
• Thread locking coatings
• Packaging (also according to automotive standards)
• Sorting
• Individual testing processes
• Shipping (also according to automotive standards)
