The specialists at BENSELER can draw on over 40 years of deburring expertise. Industrial parts cleaning is one of the most important supplementary services for deburring processes of all kinds.
Find out more below about the advantages of industrial parts cleaning in accordance with VDA 19 and the services provided by BENSELER.
The aim of industrial parts cleaning is to optimize the functionality, quality and service life of challenging components and products - such as hydraulic, brake or injection systems. It is a prerequisite for successful post processes and the further processing of components.
A wide variety of customer standards determine the cleaning requirements for different components and assemblies.
Depending on the degree of contamination and material, systems can also be configured specifically for the component.
On request, BENSELER can determine the technical cleanliness in accordance with VDA 19, whereby the parts are cleaned in a closed multi-chamber immersion cleaning system.
• Removal of adhering particles, filmic contamination and soiling from previous production processes
• Customized preservation possible
Technical cleanliness is determined in BENSELER's own laboratory or in an external laboratory in accordance with VDA 19 or customer-specific guidelines:
• Extraction
• Gravimetry (up to 0.1 mg)
• Microscopy (automated)
• Evaluation protocol
Industrial parts cleaning is used for components in the automotive industry that require a high degree of cleanliness in their application, such as injection systems, damping systems, brake systems or battery components. However, applications from other sectors, such as the electrical industry or mechanical engineering, also require industrial parts cleaning.
Parts cleaning is carried out on the basis of different system concepts: These include a closed multi-chamber immersion cleaning system with automatic loading. Here, BENSELER mainly uses water-based chemicals which, in addition to degreasing, also bind particles, for example. In this way, components of various geometries made of different materials are cleaned.
Lifting, lowering and rotating movements as well as ultrasound help to increase the cleaning effect. Particle contamination in deep bores or difficult areas can also be reliably removed using this method. The components, which are then dried in a vacuum dryer, can be delivered dry-preserved or oiled, depending on requirements. The technical cleanliness is determined in BENSELER's own laboratory according to VDA 19 or according to customer-specific guidelines with regard to extraction, gravimetry and microscopy.
BENSELER can already meet the requirements for technical cleanliness with its high-pressure water jet deburring systems. In conjunction with thermal deburring and the BENSELER cleaning equipment, very good technical cleanliness parameters are achieved, especially in the area of metallic particles.
